I am saddened and surprised to learn that Mallory died. We were good buddies back in the day and shared some good times. He appeared in my mind about a week ago and I called him. We talked for a while, agreeing to meet for lunch in the near future. He sounded like he always did with his sense of humor and his distinctive laugh. We discussed health briefly, but I got no indication that anything serious was going on other than some sleep issues.
